Our Garden

Thanks to some wonderful seeds from Amber and Karen, our garden is growing. It is so nice to have fresh vegetables to eat! We went 9 days without rain, but we managed to water it with our used dish and laundry water. I have never loved rain so much. I even took my first real "rain shower" when the rain came back. I literally used it to wash my hair.

Library

Students do not have books of their own, but they do have access to the school library, sometimes. We often gather several different, somewhat relevent textbooks and bring them to class so that students can do groupwork. Some of the books here are very useful, like the complete set of World Book Encyclopedia from 1994 (it is our world wide web), but others seem like random donations. We have a set of French language textbooks, but French is neither a requirement nor a suggested elective. Nobody knows French here, either.

Teacher's Office

This is where we do all of our lesson planning, etc. Brian usually doesn't wear his shorts and hat in there, but this was taken after school. When students want to talk to teachers they knock on the door and then come kneel at our desks.
