The mud oven has been tested and it was a full success! Two loaves of bread and two cakes. The ingrediants for the cakes were a bit of a splurge on a Peace Corps living allowance, but you only turn 34 once, so I figured Brian needed some cake.
This is a journal of Brian and Kristy's experiences as Peace Corps Volunteers in Malawi, Southern Africa. This blog reflects our thoughts, experiences and opinions and not those of the U.S. Peace Corps

Should we send you cake mixes? Yay! What fun that you have an oven now. Excellent work, guys. Thanks for taking photos of the whole process. It is fascinating!
Yay for cake mixes! Anything just add water is the best!
